Residents are invited to sign up to clear pavements and footpaths to help keep the district moving during heavy snowfall.
Snow wardens play a vital role in their local communities by clearing snow and ice from their local streets and pavements, which makes a big difference to residents, particularly if they are vulnerable.

Hide AdWakefield councillor Coun Matthew Morley, who represents Stanley and Outwood East, has encouraged residents to sign up.
He wrote on social media: “As the temperature starts to drop and we are starting to see a forecast of snow, why not do something to help your community and sign up to become a Wakefield Council snow warden?"
Snow wardens can choose how much time they dedicate to clearing the snow and ice and the Council will provide all wardens with hi-vis vests, shoe grips, and grit.
The council has over 4,700 tonnes of grit held in a special storage area, that keeps it dry and allows the huge gritters to restock as quickly as possible.
