Lock Lane reopens after being submerged in water
A road, which was submerged in water after torrential rainfall, has reopened.
Police were forced to close Lock Lane in Castleford after the River Aire burst its bank on Sunday.
Firefighters had to rescue a motorist after they got stranded in the flood water on the road.

Hide AdThe water has now cleared and police reopened the road at around 3.45pm on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said: “Lock Lane is now open. Please bear in mind the bad weather we have to come. Stay safe and don’t take any risks.”
