SLIDESHOW: Ladies' picture masterclass
The club, which meets at St John’s Terrace Working Men’s Club on Tuesday evenings, staged its first ever ladies’ night at 7.30pm on November 8.
The event at Queen Elizabeth Drive saw six ladies take part.

Hide AdThe camerawomen presented their highly successful photographs, reflecting on the origins, settings, composition and creative ideas. Many of which had won at various competitions, such as the Yorkshire Photographic Union.
It soon became clear that each had strong preferences of subject matter: Jennifer Padgett’s records of stained glass and statues; Sue Oates’ still life; Avril Jackson’s photojournalism; Marjorie Furmston’s landscapes; Chrissie Hodgson who specialised on the creative and quirky; and Gail Barton whose forte was the natural world.
Veteran clubman Stuart Clark, in giving thanks to the ladies, observed how personal their photography was.
