Roadworks in Yorkshire from May 6-13

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M1 junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 42 (M62 interchange) The northbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 39 overnight for four nights from Thursday 12 May. The southbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Thursday 12 May. The southbound carriageway will be closed between junction 39 and junction 40 overnight for three nights from Friday 13 May, please note the closures will come off for this section at 9am Saturday morning, 10am Sunday morning, then 6am Monday morning, this section will also be reduced to a single lane during the day on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May. The southbound entry slip road at junction 42 will be closed overnight for two nights from Tuesday 10 May. All closures are for carriageway works such as waterproofing and bridge works. The week day overnight closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M18 junction 2 Wadworth The northbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads overnight for two nights from Wednesday 11 May. The northbound exit slip road at junction 2 will be closed overnight on Friday 13 May. This is for electrical works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M18 junction 3 to junction 4 Armthorpe The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane from 8am on Saturday 14 May to 6am on Monday 16 May for waterproofing works. M18 junction 5 to junction 6 Thorne The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane from junction 5 to junction 6 and it will be fully closed between the slip roads at junction 6 overnight for five nights from Monday 9 May for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 24 Ainley Top The westbound entry slip road at junction 24 will be closed overnight for five nights for drainage works from Monday 9 May. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 25 Brighouse The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Friday 13 May for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange) There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 9 May for five nights. The westbound side of the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for three nights from Wednesday 11 May. The eastbound entry slip round will be closed overnight on Saturday 14 May for technology work. These closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 28 TIngley The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Saturday 14 May for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 29 Lofthouse The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight on Thursday 12 May for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 30 Rothwell The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 10 May for road markings to be repainted. The eastbound carriageway will then be fully closed between the slip roads overnight on Wednesday 11 May for technology works. The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Friday 13 May for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 29 to junction 30 Rothwell The junction 29 eastbound entry slip road and the free flow link will be closed overnight and the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane on Monday 9 May for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 31 Normanton The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 9 May for road markings. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 34 to junction 36 Airymn Lane 3 will be closed for 12kms with a 50mph on both carriageways until May 2017 for barrier works. The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight on Tuesday 10 May and the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 May for barrier works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62 junction 27 to M621 junction 1 Beeston The clockwise link road from the M62 to the M621 will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 9 May for electrical works. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. M62/A162 junction 33 Ferrybridge The A162 will be closed 24/7 until July 2016 for bridge work. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route. A64 Fulford to Askham Bryan There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit until work on the bridge is completed in July 2016. The A road will be fully closed overnight on Monday 9 May. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until autumn.
