World Book Day 2016: Six ideas for your child's costume
The kids have been nagging you for weeks about getting them a costume, but has it slipped your mind?
If your local supermarket has sold out and you’re looking for last minute inspiration, here are a few ideas.

For your little dancer. The cartoon mouse featured in books before it was made into a series.
Grab everything pink - pumps, tutu, hairband and cut some ears from pink cardboard.
Where’s Wally
Either you or someone in your household will have a stripy jumper, a bobble hat and some big glasses. If not, stick some red stripes on a white top.

Hide AdTo get the look you will need hair gel for Tintin’s quiff, a blue jumper with a white shirt underneath and brown trousers. And you could always use a stuffed dog for trusty sidekick Snowy.
Harry Potter
Who wouldn’t want to be a wizard?
All you’ll need is a school uniform, draw a bolt of lightning on your their forehead and dig out a red and yellow striped tie or scarf. Don’t forget the glasses and magic wand!
Paddington Bear
You will need a blue duffel coat, a red or black hat, red welly boots and an old suitcase and maybe a few marmalade sandwiches!
Animal onesies
These will also come in very handy at the last minute. The Gruffalo, The Tiger Who Came to Tea Wind in the Willows. Lots of children’s books have animals as the main characters, perfect for that onesie.
